Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our MAIT engineering team. As a key player in shaping the manufacturing processes of our cutting-edge programs, you will design and implement new manufacturing processes ensuring cost and quality targets for new programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical management of new manufacturing processes
  • Design and implement new production flow for complex systems
  • Ensure manufacturing systems are capable of hitting volume rate, cost, and quality targets for new programs
  • Advising on design improvements for components, subsystems, procedures, equipment, and tooling
  • Support facilities development, floor layout, and material flow definition
  • Continuous improvement to current operations to enhance efficiency
  • Identify, design, and implement tooling for the production phases
  • Identify automation opportunities
  • Author technical documents

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of professional experience in a Manufacturing & Production Engineering environment within the Aerospace industry
  • Expertise in the industrialization of new products
  • Knowledge of assembly processes and testing and detailed experience of all types of Manufacturing Systems
  • Hands-on experience with complex systems
  • Strong background in cost breakdown and analysis
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Professional proficiency in English
  • University degree preferably in the fields of Aerospace/Space Engineering, Mechanical/Production Engineering, or related engineering discipline

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in implementing automation into production processes
  • Expertise in KPIs
  • Familiar with continuous improvement philosophies
  • Familiarity with relevant standards (e.g., ECSS)
  • Fluency in Italian
