Are you an innovative engineer with a passion for circuit design? In the role of Principal Engineer IC Design Architect, you will take charge of developing tailored circuit concepts for Industrial and Automotive applications that align with system and customer specifications.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating tailored circuit concepts for Industrial and Automotive applications, emphasizing timely delivery.
  • Validating concepts through advanced behavioral modeling, facilitating thorough use-case evaluations and reliable product verification.
  • Designing analog/mixed signal circuit IP according to established concepts and hardware specifications, while also addressing design for test and manufacturing requirements.
  • Collaborating with Layout Experts, Verification Engineers, and Test Development to prepare designs for mass production.
  • Debugging designed circuit IP in laboratory settings, utilizing your exceptional problem-solving abilities.
  • Building strong relationships with Technical Marketing and Application Engineering teams to ensure outstanding support and engagement.
  • Driving innovation by generating pioneering circuit ideas and actively engaging in exciting innovation initiatives.
  • Conducting feasibility studies for new IPs to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Promoting continuous improvement through effective cross-functional collaboration, unlocking our collective potential.
  • Sharing your expertise within the Infineon expert network, mentoring and guiding colleagues and students.

To excel in this position, you should possess:

  • A university degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience, particularly in analog and mixed signal chip design.
  • Proficiency in design and behavioral modeling tools such as Spectre, Avenue, or SystemC.
  • A background in Automotive and Functional Safety is highly advantageous.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong command of English, with Italian proficiency being a valuable asset.
