Electrical Engineer Manager Job Description

Hitachi Rail is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Electrical Engineer Manager to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the electrical engineer office, ensuring the successful delivery of our rail solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Definition of train electrical schematics and documentation
  • Design of electrical subassemblies using 3D CAD tools
  • Development of technical documentation (mechanical and electrical) in GPLM integrated system
  • Support to external engineering for co-design activities
  • Management and support to supplier of component and frame for product definition
  • Support to production and testing for prototype manufacturing
  • Support to technical documentation for customer design review and homologation process
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science or technical degree in mechanical engineering
  • At least 5 years of experience in the railway industry with the role of Electrical Engineer
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret mechanical drawing
  • Ability to read, understand electrical schematics
  • Desired skills: basic knowledge of electrical circuit and electromechanical component, development of functional/electrical schemes using tools as E3 or equivalent, dimensioning of electric component, calculation for high voltage, medium voltage and low voltage dimensioning
