Job Summary

OHB Italia is seeking a highly skilled Proposal Manager to join its Marketing and Proposal Preparation Unit in Milano. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for coordinating, preparing, and submitting proposals to the company's main customers, including the European Space Agency and Italian Space Agency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize and coordinate the proposal process, following company standard procedures and customer procurement rules, in collaboration with project managers, technical experts, project controllers, contract officers, and risk managers.
  • Ensure proper interaction and coordination with external partners participating in the proposal, providing and/or requesting necessary contributions.
  • Review, organize, and edit documentation to be included in the proposal, improving clarity and ensuring compliance with RFP requirements.
  • Edit the proposal cover letter, management, and financial volumes, in accordance with customer RFP requirements, including description of the industrial team, specific background, work breakdown structure, deliverable list, schedule, and cost sheets.
  • Interact with customers to manage RFP clarifications and intended invitations to tenders.
  • Ensure timely submission of the proposal to the customer, according to due date and required submission process.
  • Update and maintain contacts with major industrial partners in the space sector in Italy and Europe.
  • Update and maintain the company's marketing and proposals database.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Management/Business or Aerospace/Aeronautics Engineering.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in the space industry in a similar position or as a system engineer/project manager for ESA/ASI programs.
  • Strong and effective communication, writing, and computer skills.
  • Knowledge and experience with office procedures, systems, and protocols.
  • Advanced user in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access).
  • Experience with European Space Agency procurement rules is preferred.
  • High level of flexibility, willingness to work in international teams, and ability to keep tight schedules.
  • High motivation, pro-active working approach, and strong sense of responsibility.
  • Strong capability of leading proposal teams with good communication skills.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
