Role Overview

Are you driven by a passion for consumer insights and seeking a stimulating opportunity in a vibrant and fast-evolving setting? If you possess a deep understanding of business dynamics and a consumer-focused approach, the position of Insights Manager Italy at Imperial Brands could be an ideal fit for you.

As the Insights Manager Italy, you will be part of the Global Insights team at Imperial Brands, reporting directly to the Cluster Head of Insights. In this role, you will serve as a key advisor to business stakeholders, collaborating closely with the Italian organization to ensure that decisions are informed by consumer insights and data.

Your responsibilities will include leading initiatives that evaluate various aspects such as pricing strategies, the impact of new product launches, return on investment for brand and trade activities, and innovation assessments.

The successful candidate will oversee a local Insights Team of two, fostering the development of essential skills and behaviors to provide timely, commercially viable, and actionable recommendations backed by independent consumer data.

Key Responsibilities

Act as a business partner to in-market stakeholders and their teams, advocating for the consumer and customer perspectives in critical decision-making discussions. Deliver insights related to business planning, performance management (including strategic pricing initiatives), and brand forecasting, adhering to centrally established standards and timelines. Transform business requirements into comprehensive insight needs that guide the design and execution of insight projects. Utilize central, self-service resources such as the global Insights Hub and best-practice toolkits, developing a thorough understanding of their functionalities. Clearly communicate how insights contribute to achieving Imperial Brands' strategic objectives, as well as market-specific strategies, providing a detailed view of consumer needs and commercial considerations to support decision-making. Offer actionable, commercially sound, and data-driven recommendations, leveraging independent consumer insights to inform decision-making and challenge existing perceptions when necessary.

Required Skills & Experience

Proven experience in insights within multinational FMCG organizations. Strong expertise in insights methodologies across branding, marketing, and forecasting. Ability to leverage innovation insights to guide product launches. Exceptional communication skills to present insights persuasively and engage stakeholders effectively. Demonstrated people management capabilities with a track record of coaching and motivating a team. Fluency in English is essential, and proficiency in Italian is advantageous.
