About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our team at Datalec UK. As an Electrical Project Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operational delivery of electrical projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to project teams, ensuring that projects are delivered in accordance with the company's project delivery process.
  • Project Planning: Develop and maintain project plans, including project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, ensuring that the project is delivered without any major issues.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all project work is carried out to the required quality standards, and that any defects or issues are identified and resolved promptly.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and internal teams, to ensure that project requirements are met and that any issues are resolved promptly.
  • Commercial Management: Manage project commercial aspects, including contract administration, cost control, and commercial risk management.
  • Team Management: Manage and develop a team of electrical engineers and technicians, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver projects to the required standards.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensure that customer requirements are met, and that customer satisfaction is achieved through effective project delivery.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to improve project delivery and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Leadership and Management: Proven leadership and management skills, with experience of managing teams and projects.
  • Electrical Engineering: Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices, with experience of electrical installation and maintenance.
  • Project Management: Proven project management skills, with experience of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Commercial Awareness: Strong commercial awareness, with experience of managing project commercial aspects, including contract administration, cost control, and commercial risk management.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience of communicating effectively with project stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Qualifications and Certifications: Relevant qualifications and certifications, including SMST and CSCS.
