About the Role

DSJ Global is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team in Milan, Italy. As a key member of our sales team, you will play a critical role in driving growth and building strong relationships with clients across multiple industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Acquisition & Relationship Management: Identify, target, and acquire new clients, while maintaining and growing relationships with existing accounts.
  • Sales Strategy Development: Craft and execute sales strategies that focus on both air and ocean freight services, with a special focus on customized logistics solutions for mid-sized businesses.
  • Market Expansion: Analyze the market for new business opportunities and geographic expansion, particularly in Europe and international trade lanes.
  • Negotiation & Contract Management: Lead negotiations with clients to secure contracts, ensuring favorable terms and profitability for the company.
  • Revenue Growth: Develop and meet sales targets, contributing to the overall growth and profitability of the company.
  • Industry Engagement: Stay current with industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes in air and ocean freight forwarding to position the company for success.
Requirements
  • Freight Forwarding Expertise: A minimum of 5 years' experience in air and ocean freight forwarding, with a proven track record of success in business development roles.
  • Commercial Acumen: Strong ability to create value propositions for clients, leveraging your knowledge of global supply chains and freight forwarding solutions.
  • Strategic Sales Focus: Demonstrated success in driving new business, managing key accounts, and growing sales in competitive markets.
  • Negotiation Skills: Experience in complex negotiations, with the ability to achieve favorable outcomes for both the client and the company.
  • International Trade Knowledge: Solid understanding of international shipping regulations, logistics processes, and customs compliance.
  • Self-Motivated & Results-Oriented: Ability to work independently and proactively, with a focus on achieving results and exceeding targets.
