We are in search of a Contract and Claims Specialist to enhance the Siemens Mobility Rail Infrastructure division, based in our Milan office, under a permanent employment agreement.

Your Responsibilities

In the role of Contract and Claims Specialist, you will focus on assessing and preparing for contractual risks in alignment with Italian legislation, ensuring prompt contract evaluations, and working closely with the Project Manager and Legal department to facilitate effective negotiations and contract finalization. Your key tasks will include:

  • Delivering precise contractual evaluations and guidance to project teams
  • Overseeing daily commercial and contractual matters
  • Engaging with clients, contractors, and suppliers
  • Implementing risk mitigation strategies
  • Preparing financial elements for negotiations
  • Assisting the Procurement Department in subcontract and purchase order discussions
  • Reviewing and drafting formal correspondence

Qualifications Required

  • Professional experience in a comparable position, ideally within the Railway industry
  • Comprehension of contract risks and legal/financial implications
  • Familiarity with Italian commercial, civil, and public procurement regulations
  • Experience in complex project risk assessment and claims management
  • Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation abilities
  • Fluency in Italian and English; knowledge of German or Spanish is advantageous
