We are looking for a Contract and Claims Specialist to enhance the Siemens Mobility Rail Infrastructure division. This role is based in our Milan office and offers a permanent contract.

Your Responsibilities

As a Contract and Claims Specialist, you will focus on assessing and preparing for contractual risks in accordance with Italian legislation, ensuring prompt contract evaluations, and working closely with the Project Manager and Legal team for successful negotiations and contract finalization. Your key tasks will include:

  • Delivering precise contractual evaluations and guidance to project teams
  • Overseeing daily commercial and contractual matters
  • Engaging with clients, contractors, and suppliers
  • Facilitating risk management
  • Preparing financial elements for negotiations
  • Assisting the Procurement Department in subcontract and purchase order discussions
  • Reviewing and drafting formal communications

Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in a similar position, ideally within the Railway industry
  • Comprehension of contract risks and their legal/financial implications
  • Familiarity with Italian commercial, civil, and public procurement regulations
  • Experience in complex project risk assessment and claims handling
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation abilities
  • Fluency in Italian and English; proficiency in German or Spanish is advantageous
