Sales Development Representative

As a Sales Development Representative at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will be responsible for identifying sales opportunities with new and existing customers and successfully managing the sales of company products and services to achieve or exceed the assigned territory sales plan. You will maintain and increase the current customer database through the Company's customer relationship management software, manage and close sales leads generated by colleagues in Marketing and Technical Support teams, and consistently communicate through written and verbal means about achievements, setbacks, and effective methods to enhance the team's overall productivity. You will also participate in sales, product, and systems training, marketing campaigns, and special projects to develop appropriate selling skills. Additionally, you will coordinate quotations within Company Guidelines by extending competitive pricing to increase revenues and provide sales forecast for assigned territory to support business understanding.
Requirements:
- Equivalent experience within Life Sciences required, preferred BSc, Master, or PhD.
- Driven by sales goals and motivated to achieve them.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and pay attention to details.
- High degree of flexibility in adapting to a constantly evolving business environment.
- Computer skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, or similar required.
- Fluent in English and Italian.
- Ability to function effectively in a high-performance team.
- Initial business experience in sales or any other customer-facing role in the Life Science industry is an advantage.
