Job Title: Field Service Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our Lifecycle Services team in Padova. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering activities required for maintenance, troubleshooting, and incident resolution, technical support, system upgrade, warranty services, training, completing configuration and/or modifications, and on-call services to DeltaV DCS.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform tasks for system maintenance and performance evaluations
  • Provide technical support to customers, leading in investigation and providing and/or recommend solutions
  • Provide remote technical support assistance for System users of DeltaV DCS
  • Be able and willing to perform on-call shift-based services (if applicable) and emergency call-out services to provide customers with fast and efficient service
  • Assist in design studies, H/W & S/W upgrades & modifications
  • Support project activities at customer site including system installation and application programming
  • Provide on-site customer training for Emerson products
  • Get trained with the latest technologies and/or products for which you will be completing services
Requirements:
  • Technical diploma or degree in an engineering field, such as electronics, automation computer science, mechanical / electrical
  • Knowledge on Information technology (IT) & Networking, Cyber Security, Virtualization, Programming Software, Operating Systems, Active Directory, Patch Management, Backup and Recovery
  • Fluent in Italian language
  • Proficiency in English language (written and spoken)
  • Experience in process industry such as Biotechnology / Pharmaceutical, Chemical, Oil & Gas, Refineries
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in DCS or PLC application (knowledge of DeltaV DCS being an advantage)
  • Willing to travel frequently
  • Availability to work non-office hours, occasionally including weekends, to support customer and perform call-out services
