Are you looking for a challenging role that will allow you to grow professionally? We are seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our team in Padova.

In this position, you will be responsible for delivering activities required for maintenance, troubleshooting, and incident resolution, technical support, system upgrade, warranty services, training, completing configuration and/or modifications, and on-call services to DeltaV DCS systems.

As a Field Service Engineer in Padova, you will become part of our Lifecycle Services team, which helps our customers carry out maintenance, improve security and reliability, and boost performance of their DeltaV DCS systems.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing tasks for system maintenance and performance evaluations
  • Providing technical support to customers, leading in investigation and providing and/or recommend solutions
  • Providing remote (phone, internet) technical support assistance for System users of DeltaV DCS
  • Being able and willing to perform on-call shift-based services (if applicable) and emergency call-out services to provide customers with fast and efficient service
  • Assisting in design studies, H/W & S/W upgrades & modifications
  • Supporting project activities at customer site including system installation and application programming
  • Providing on-site customer training for Emerson products
  • Getting trained with the latest technologies and/or products for which you will be completing services

Requirements include:

  • Technical diploma or degree in an engineering field, such as electronics, automation computer science, mechanical / electrical
  • Knowledge on Information technology (IT) & Networking, Cyber Security, Virtualization, Programming Software, Operating Systems, Active Directory, Patch Management, Backup and Recovery
  • Fluent in Italian language
  • Proficiency in English language (written and spoken)
  • Experience in process industry such as Biotechnology / Pharmaceutical, Chemical, Oil & Gas, Refineries

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Experience in DCS or PLC application (knowledge of DeltaV DCS being an advantage)
  • Willing to travel frequently
  • Availability to work non-office hours, occasionally including weekends, to support customer and perform call-out services
