Job Title: Bid Manager

Alstom is seeking a highly experienced Bid Manager to join our Business Development & Tendering Department. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in developing and executing winning tender strategies that drive business growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the cost of tenders to budget and ensure timely delivery of high-quality tender submissions
  • Develop solutions that meet customer requirements at a winning price point, leveraging Alstom's global capabilities
  • Ensure Alstom margin commitments are realised and deliver winning proposals with defined scope, accurate QCD commitment, and within the defined tender budget
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Bid Director, resource owners, work package managers, and support functions to deliver competitive and differentiated tender submissions
Requirements:
  • Significant experience in bid management, with a proven track record of developing winning tenders in large-scale, technically complex projects
  • Excellent numerical and oral/written communication skills, with proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Comfortable delivering presentations to business leaders and customers, with knowledge of CRM software packages and commercial contracts used in signalling, systems, and infrastructure projects
  • Desirable: Alstom product knowledge across Signalling, Systems, and Infrastructure, leading and managing a team in a matrix structure, public sector procurement, and working with international teams
