About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Area Sales Manager to join our team at Emerson. As an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, identifying new business opportunities, and driving sales growth in your assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers, providing expert guidance on our software solutions and helping them to achieve their business goals.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets, including identifying new business opportunities and building relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product management, and engineering, to ensure alignment and effective execution of sales strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and leverage this knowledge to drive sales growth and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Manage and maintain accurate sales data and reports, including sales forecasts, pipeline management, and sales performance metrics.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a sales or business development role, preferably in the industrial automation or software industry.
  • Proven track record of success in sales, with a strong understanding of sales strategies, tactics, and metrics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong sense of urgency and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Studies in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Previous experience in a sales or business development role in the industrial automation or software industry.
  • Knowledge of HMI, Supervisory Control, and/or Plant Analytic software.
