Business Development Manager

Key Accountabilities
- Drive front line sales growth, primarily with new and strategically important customers and prospects, within the Industry vertical.
- Represent Danfoss Drives within the Industry vertical, following and influencing short-term or long-term trends, leading product & solution offering and strategy.
- Coach, guide, and support the sales teams to find new growth opportunities, serving as the industry spokesperson.
- Ensure Danfoss visibility by educating/training the markets, connecting in industry trade associations, exhibitions, publishing white papers, material, marketing activities.
- Develop and share application knowledge, and best practices within the organization.
- Collaborate with project teams to develop and deliver solutions, influencing communication with marketing resources tailored to market needs/trends and Danfoss strategic priorities.
- Ensure bi-directional information flow between the market, sales team, and global teams when necessary.
- Study the industry vertical to identify the right approach, following development and future of customer need, market trends, competition strategy and activities.
- Drive the push and pull strategy in close cooperation with sales team, in the industry vertical.
- Report activities and data analysis related to selling and Market Intelligence.
- Utilize Danfoss's tools and relationship with internal stakeholders, Sales Engineer, Marketing, and Technical Support, to select and provide the most competitive Danfoss Solution.
- Support sales strategies within the achievement of budget.
Background & Skills
Requirements
- Master's Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent culture; knowledge in drives, electric motors, and automation is a plus.
- +5 years of experience gained in middle structured Multinational companies, in similar roles within the knowledge of the reference market.
- Negotiation and organizational skills with strong goal orientation.
- Strong knowledge of English Language (written and spoken).
- Skilled in presenting to large audiences.
- Customer and growth-oriented mindset, and strong analytical ability.
- Interpersonal skills with a result-oriented mindset, focused on teamwork.
- Global mindset, and excellent oral and written communication skills to efficiently communicate across all levels of the organization.
