Job Overview:

The Internal Sales Specialist is dedicated to a specific business unit, focusing on accounts where applicable. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of the product portfolio, pricing structures, and vendor processes. The specialist is responsible for managing quotes and closing sales, with incentives tied to a portion of the product range.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with customers and vendors through proactive communication and in-depth product knowledge.
  • Identify and create new business opportunities by planning and executing outbound calls to potential clients, engaging in discussions about solutions and product offerings.
  • Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly revenue and margin objectives.
  • Foster relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Engage in proactive inside sales efforts, utilizing various resources to gather customer insights and optimize call effectiveness.
  • Manage customer backorders with specialized knowledge and engage in strategic project identification.
  • Oversee projects from initiation to completion or transition to pre-sales for technical specifications.
  • Provide, negotiate, and sell product information, pricing, special promotions, and offers.
  • Ensure that TD SYNNEX adheres to service level agreements with clients.
  • Achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to customer engagement.
  • Communicate the advantages of partnering with TD SYNNEX and articulate the company's value proposition.
  • Develop partner relationships, including account planning and cross-selling strategies.
  • Identify project opportunities and collaborate with Business Development Managers when specific product or vendor expertise is necessary.
  • Drive sales initiatives for specific products or vendors requiring specialized knowledge.
  • Deliver accurate and timely quotations across various segments.
  • Generate and maintain a pipeline of deals within TD SYNNEX's CRM system, ensuring regular updates and active opportunity closure.
  • Manage customer expectations regarding backorders and provide relevant reporting.
  • Maintain the CRM system to ensure accurate customer information.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 1-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong numerical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly over the phone.
  • Effective priority management and planning abilities.
  • A commitment to achieving set targets.
  • Understanding of the sales process.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Previous experience with IT systems for quotations, order entry, and CRM is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with the product range is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of the IT industry is beneficial but not essential.
