Job Overview:

The Internal Sales Specialist is dedicated to a specific business unit, focusing on accounts where applicable. This role requires an in-depth understanding of the product portfolio, processes, and vendor pricing. The specialist is responsible for managing all quotations and closing orders, with incentives tied to a portion of the product portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and nurture strong customer and vendor relationships through proactive communication and demonstrated expertise in specialized products.
  • Identify and create new business opportunities by planning and executing outbound calls to customers, engaging in discussions about solutions and product areas.
  • Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly revenue and margin objectives.
  • Foster relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Engage in active inside sales by utilizing various resources to gather customer insights, maximizing call effectiveness and outcomes.
  • Manage customer backorders with specialized knowledge and engage in strategic project identification.
  • Oversee projects from initiation to completion or transition to pre-sales for technical specifications.
  • Provide, negotiate, and sell product information, pricing, special offers, and promotions.
  • Ensure that TD SYNNEX adheres to service level agreements with customers.
  • Achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) related to customer engagement.
  • Communicate the advantages of partnering with TD SYNNEX and the company's value proposition.
  • Develop partner relationships, including account planning and cross-selling initiatives.
  • Identify project opportunities and collaborate with Business Development Managers (BDMs) when specific product or vendor expertise is needed.
  • Drive sales of specific products or vendors when specialized knowledge is required.
  • Deliver accurate and timely quotations across various segments.
  • Generate and maintain a pipeline of deals within TD SYNNEX's CRM system, ensuring regular updates and active closure of opportunities.
  • Manage customer backorder expectations and reporting effectively.
  • Maintain the CRM system to ensure accurate customer information.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • 1-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong numerical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly over the phone.
  • Effective priority management and planning abilities.
  • Commitment to achieving set targets.
  • Understanding of the sales process.
  • Strong relationship-building capabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Previous experience with IT systems for quotations, order entry, and CRM is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with the product set is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of the IT industry is a plus but not essential.
