Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Operations Training Specialist to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a key member of our Technical Trainer Team, you will play a critical role in building, growing, and sharing your expertise in the manufacturing of sterile injectable products.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement effective training solutions to address technical knowledge gaps and support the start-up of new plants and implementation of new processes.
Collaborate with Global Operational and Engineering teams to establish and exchange widely accepted methods for addressing equipment/process challenges.
Offer mentorship and supervision in addressing field problems, implementing corrective measures, and exchanging valuable insights to prevent future occurrences.
Act as an advisor regarding technological investments and development in the network.
Requirements:
Availability to travel up to 50% of the time to both suppliers' and Thermo Fisher facilities globally.
Intensity, commitment to solving technical challenges in a dynamic environment.
Analytical and hands-on mentality combined with a passion for high-end technology and processes.
Proficient in English (verbal and written).
Passionate about continuous learning and skilled at understanding how others learn, committed to elevating collective knowledge through on-the-job coaching, classroom, and virtual training.
Strong social skills.
Ability to create out-of-the-box solutions.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel), CRM software, and internet tools.
Must have:
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Pharmaceutical Technology/Chemistry required. Equivalent job-related experience might be assessed.
* 5+ years professional experience in areas such as equipment maintenance/process & equipment engineering within sterile drug product manufacturing sites required
* Experience with PFS and/or vials highly preferred
* Experience in acting as a Trainer in a technical environment and/or presenting at industry symposia required
* Fluency in English required. Fluency in Italian and/or German highly preferred.

Sterile DPD Sites (EU sites preferred)
Italy: Monza, Ferentino
Greenville (US)
Swindon (UK)
Selected candidates will work at one of our Thermo Fisher sites in Europe/UK/US, with the requirement of travelling extensively/for longer periods (up to few consecutive weeks) to both supplier and Thermo Fisher facilities
