Electronic Technical Specialist Role Overview

As an Electronic Technical Specialist at Philip Morris Manufacturing Technology Bologna, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain and improve the technical conditions of production equipment, adhering to health, safety, quality, and production standards.

Your day-to-day tasks will include performing electrical maintenance, both preventive and planned, to ensure production equipment availability. You will also be responsible for supporting production in executing brand and format changes, as well as checking and maintaining the calibration of equipment according to standard settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance to all PMI and legal standards, policies, and guidelines related to Environment, Health, Safety, and Sustainability.
  • Promote an interdependent and transparent safety culture, fostering the utilization of preventive/predictive approaches.
  • Participate in the Vertical Start Up for digital and automation initiatives and projects.
  • Define and implement optimal electronic maintenance standards in quality perspective for new processes and improve existing ones.
  • Develop digital and electrical control strategies to enable operators to respond to out-of-control situations and ensure documentation is in place and used in the lines.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Tech School (Secondary Technical School or Technical University) degree.
  • At least 3/5 years of experience in an industrial environment or similar activities (authorized electrician).
  • Advanced electronic troubleshooting and debug software, electronic, automation, and digital systems on the line.
  • Good knowledge of Simotion Simatic PLC (Siemens) and Beckhoff Twincat V2 and V3.
