Job Summary

Hitachi Automotive Systems Americas, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Service Sales Development Intern to join our team. As a Service Sales Development Intern, you will play a key role in developing and implementing sales strategies to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Service Manager to implement sales strategies and penetrate the installed base to promote upgrade, retrofit, and value-added solutions to customers.
  • Understand the channel strategy and establish related prices to prepare sales plans, review them, and propose recovery plans when needed.
  • Generate sales leads and develop new market opportunities by utilizing market trend information, identifying potential new service portfolios, and exploring new markets.
  • Establish long-term customer relationships by understanding customer requirements, applicable regulations, and demonstrating in-depth technical service product/solution knowledge to promote Life Cycle Management (LCM).
  • Register customer feedback and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.
  • Implement a lean installed base data management strategy, interconnected with existing tools and tools being developed, to define processes and automate IB data capture to the extent possible.
  • Support the processes in place with the service teams to structure how we capture and update IB data, build an effective and qualitative IB capturing with an initial focus on selected industrial segments, and extend the approach to other segments in a second stage.
  • Contribute to risk assessments related to price and quality, register required information into the appropriate customer database, and ensure technical reliability, safety, and cost-effective solutions to satisfy customer needs.
  • Comply with health and safety directives and live core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical/Energy/Mechanical/Automation/Electronic Engineering.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good analytical skills, proactivity, and customer-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent ability to work in a team.
  • Good knowledge of written/spoken English and Italian.
