We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our EMEA Hotels and Hospitality Capital Markets business line as a Director. This is a permanent, full-time position that will report directly to the Senior Managing Director, EMEA Hotels and Hospitality.
Key Responsibilities- Create and execute the strategic plan for transactions in Italy, identifying market trends and opportunities to propose new services and adaptations to the existing portfolio.
- Play a key role in business development, new client acquisition, and client retention across all services provided by the Hotels Transactions, Advisory, and Asset Management team.
- Work seamlessly with the EMEA team to deliver portfolio transactions, ensuring optimum delivery capability across the team through planning, training, and development, and networking across the broader JLL network.
- Deliver the JLL Hotels division to clients throughout Italy and the regional market, acting as a trusted advisor to key clients and building a strong personal network.
- Actively contribute to the EMEA Hotels leadership forum, working on cross-divisional projects, and ensure close co-operation and build a trusted relationship within the EMEA Hotels and Hospitality team as well as the wider JLL firm.
- Excellent academic track record, educated to degree level, with a professional hospitality or real estate qualification, such as RICS or HCIMA, being an advantage.
- Relevant work experience with 10+ years in an investment bank, hospitality advisor, or investor, with experience of both international and operational deals.
- Track record of end-to-end-deal involvement from either side of the transaction, with experience of driving the process.
- Experience of successfully handling multiple projects and keeping parallel processes on track.
- Intellectually agile, accompanied by excellent technical skills, including financial modeling and analytical capability.
- In-depth knowledge of the investor base, including large international operators, private equity funds, and family offices, and how to sell into these successfully.
- Knowledge of the European hospitality market, including working knowledge of the hospitality investment, valuation, acquisition, development, and asset management processes, as well as financing.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills, coupled with a balanced technical knowledge.
- Good commercial acumen and sense for doing business, entrepreneurial, origination hustle.
- Results-driven, always striving to achieve challenging targets and deadlines, resilient.
- Ability to travel throughout Europe, essential, with European language skills desirable.
- Fluent in both Italian and English (spoken and written).
