Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team in Europe. As a key member of our Industrial Automation group, you will be responsible for driving the growth and success of Molex in the European raw cable market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic business plans to expand our market presence and increase sales of our Industrial Automation solutions within our Accounts.
  • Collaborate with Sales in Europe to promote Molex Cable Solutions in target market segments, participating in multi-location account development activities and meetings when required.
  • Become a subject matter expert and provide consultative selling by demonstrating the value and benefits of our solutions, tailored to a customer's requirements.
  • Develop an understanding of target customer and prospect profiles, applications, needs, problems, and their expectations, whilst also being aware of Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats (SWOT) and the current state of the business in the assigned region.
  • Track trends and dependencies in the industry/market segments that impact primary sources of sales/revenues in the assigned region. Identify and monitor competitor presence, and their developments/position, in the assigned region and target accounts.
  • Explore eligible business expansion (e.g. identify complementary third-party products/solutions or new and unexplored market opportunities), which is additive to the existing business (i.e. contribution margin in key accounts) or would contribute to overall growth projections for the assigned region.

Requirements

  • Electro-Mech higher education
  • Advanced written and oral English communication skills. Italian is a plus.
  • Experience in business development, sales, or a related field, preferably within the raw cable sector.
  • A good understanding of Industrial Automation
  • Industrial market knowledge (technology and industry trends)
  • Experience in dealing directly with OEM's and End-users
  • Team player with strong networking skills and the ability to share knowledge

  • Automotive/Robotic Market Segment knowledge/background
  • Machine/Line Builder and System Integrator knowledge/background
  • Commercial Vehicle knowledge/background
