Position Overview

We are in search of a proactive and seasoned IT Manager to oversee our technological operations within Orient Express Hotels. With a commitment to delivering exceptional service and a focus on maintaining the highest standards of technology and innovation, the IT Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective integration and performance of IT systems across our luxury establishments.


Key Responsibilities:

IT Infrastructure Oversight

Manage the planning, execution, and upkeep of the hotel's IT infrastructure, ensuring reliability, security, and scalability. Supervise servers, networks, and communication systems to support daily operations and future growth.

Software Management

Assess, select, and implement software solutions that enhance guest experiences, streamline operations, and boost overall efficiency. Collaborate with vendors to ensure the integration of industry-leading software tailored to the luxury hospitality sector.

Data Security and Compliance

Formulate and enforce comprehensive data security policies and procedures to protect sensitive information. Ensure adherence to industry regulations and standards, remaining informed about emerging trends and technologies.

Leadership and Team Development

Inspire and lead the IT team, cultivating a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Provide training and professional development opportunities for IT staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Interdepartmental Collaboration

Work closely with various hotel departments to understand their technology needs and deliver effective solutions. Implement technology strategies that align with the overall business objectives and enhance the guest experience.


Additional Responsibilities:

Manage the annual IT budget, ensuring cost efficiency in accordance with the company budget.

Conduct auditing activities on the system, generating performance audit reports.

Ensure that all IT activities are performed and managed in response to the needs of different users, in compliance with current legislation and business procedures.

Propose and implement Cyber Security actions, procedures, and strategies to prevent cyber threats and crimes.

Draft guidelines, protocols, and functional procedures.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in IT management within the luxury hospitality or related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of hotel management systems, property management systems, and point-of-sale systems.
  • Expertise in data security, network infrastructure, and cloud computing.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
