Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Representative to join our team at ITT. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our engineered valves to end-users, engineering companies, original equipment manufacturers, and distributors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize your exceptional sales skills and product expertise to promote and sell our engineered valves to key accounts and distributors.
  • Develop and expand our distribution network in the territory, identifying new sales opportunities and building strong relationships with customers.
  • Work closely with our engineering teams to develop and specify our valves for large CAPEX projects, ensuring successful project execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage the entire sales process, from lead generation to aftermarket support, ensuring seamless customer interactions and timely issue resolution.
  • Travel extensively (approximately 60% of the time) to visit key accounts, distributors, and customers, building strong relationships and driving sales growth.
  • Perform specification work for day-to-day business and on projects with A&E's, OEM's, and end-users, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of our valves.
  • Conduct product information seminars and training for end-users, A&E accounts, distributors, and representatives, enhancing their knowledge and understanding of our engineered valves.
  • Provide ITT with detailed information on the competitive landscape in the territory, enabling informed business decisions.
  • Maintain accurate reports on active projects and opportunities, supporting the monthly reporting and forecasting process.
  • Communicate effectively with our direct supervisor on all customers, sales channels, and company matters, ensuring seamless collaboration and issue resolution.
  • Maintain up-to-date distributor/representative sales action plans, monitoring and reporting progress towards goals.
  • Report to and follow the directions given by the Sales Director EMEA, India & APAC, ensuring alignment with company objectives and strategies.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a technical field.
  • At least 5 years of outside technical valve sales experience, preferably in channel management, sales of valves or related products, or other capital equipment.
  • Fluency in German and English (verbally and in writing), with the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Strong mathematical skills, with the ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Proficiency in word processing software, spreadsheets, and custom applications software in a MS Windows environment.
  • A valid driver's license.
