Job Summary

Villanova University seeks a highly experienced and visionary leader to serve as the Assistant Dean for Professional Education. This individual will be responsible for driving the strategic direction and growth of the University's professional education programs, ensuring they remain competitive and aligned with the University's mission and goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for professional education, aligning with the University's overall mission and goals.
    • Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure the University's professional education programs remain competitive and innovative.
    • Lead the development of new programs and initiatives, leveraging market trends and best practices.
  • Program Management
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of professional education programs, ensuring seamless execution and high-quality student experiences.
    • Manage budgets, resources, and personnel to achieve program goals and objectives.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including faculty, students, alumni, and industry partners.
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead a team of professionals responsible for program management, marketing, and student services.
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
    • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Collaboration and Partnerships
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with University departments, including marketing, communications, and online programs.
    • Collaborate with industry partners to develop and deliver programs that meet the needs of working professionals.
    • Represent the University at national and regional conferences, staying abreast of industry trends and best practices.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Master's degree required; Ph.D. preferred.
  • Experience
    • Seven or more years of experience in professional education program management, preferably in a higher education setting.
  • Skills
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans, drive growth, and improve student outcomes.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
    • Experience with program management software, marketing automation tools, and customer relationship management systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education
    • Master's degree in a related field, such as education, business, or communications.
  • Experience
    • Experience in higher education, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Skills
    • Experience with marketing and communications strategies, including social media and content marketing.
    • Knowledge of adult learning principles and best practices in professional education.
