Hitachi Rail S.p.A. is a leading provider of rail transportation solutions, and we are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Vehicle Mechanical Integrator to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a talented individual with a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience in integrating complex mechanical systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development of technical designs, analyzing supplier proposals, and verifying technical descriptions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and coordinate during the bid and project development of the technical design of mechanical systems
  • Prepare system requirements specifications for mechanical systems
  • Analyze suppliers' technical proposals and verify their compliance with requirements
  • Check technical descriptions of mechanical systems and ensure they meet specifications
  • Verify drawings and documents for installation and integration on board
  • Check FEM analysis reports and ensure they meet requirements
  • Prepare and verify performance test specifications
  • Support during system type tests and on-board integration tests
  • Participate in design reviews with clients and suppliers

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering and system integration
  • Good knowledge of pneumatic schemes, hydraulic schemes, electrical schemes, and bolted and riveted connections
  • Basic knowledge of electrics and mechanics
  • Knowledge of main office automation software and tools (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Knowledge of mechanical design software (Autocad, Creo, Catia, etc.) and IBM DOORS requirements management tool
  • Knowledge of engineering processes and railway operations
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, and international environment
  • Ability to work autonomously in teams and for projects
  • Availability for short-term national and international business trips

Education and Qualifications

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical background (also technical high school graduation can be analyzed)

Languages

Good knowledge of written and spoken English is mandatory. English language knowledge on at least B2 level is required.
