Your Role at NTT DATA

As a member of a highly skilled and collaborative NTT team, you will contribute to a critical and strategic IT journey for our esteemed clients.
Located in Milan, the NTT team will work closely with the client's IT personnel both locally and globally, focusing on Network and Network Security infrastructure.
In this role, you will engage with a diverse IT environment, primarily centered around technologies such as Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto, Check Point, Fortinet, F5, VMware Velocloud, and Riverbed.
By joining this project, you will have the unique opportunity to work with NTT, a leader in Network Managed Services, while also collaborating with a multinational leader in the eyewear and eye care sector, enhancing your skills and expertise.

Key Responsibilities

As a Network Managed Service Engineer L3, you will partner with the customer's Network Operations team (L1) and the Network Projects team to ensure seamless network services across the entire IT Network customer environment, including data centers, cloud services, retail locations, offices, and branches.

Your primary duties will include:

  • Managing complex support tickets;
  • Performing advanced troubleshooting tasks;
  • Assisting in the analysis, assignment, and escalation of support requests;
  • Investigating third-line support issues and determining root causes of incidents and problems;
  • Escalating issues to third-party vendors as necessary;
  • Documenting all relevant information for prompt resolution;
  • Providing ongoing feedback to the customer and involved parties while updating all systems and portals as per service protocols;
  • Collaborating with other teams to extend support;
  • Executing and supporting infrastructure changes with clear risk identification and mitigation strategies;
  • Monitoring customer infrastructure;
  • Identifying opportunities for operational optimization;
  • Generating trend analysis reports on support tickets.

Qualifications

  • Educational background in IT;
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Network Operations environment with medium to high complexity;
  • Cisco Certification (CCNA/CCNP); additional certifications from major vendors (Check Point/Palo Alto, Fortinet, F5, VMware) are advantageous;
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work across diverse cultures;
  • Positive attitude and adaptability to changing circumstances;
  • Experience working in virtual and hybrid teams;
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Customer-oriented mindset;
  • Proficiency in Italian and English (French is a plus);
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required;
  • Availability for on-call scheduling.
