Your Role at NTT DATA
As a member of a skilled and cooperative NTT team, you will contribute to a crucial and strategic IT journey for our clients.Located in Milan, the NTT team will work closely with the client's IT department both locally and globally, focusing on Network and Network Security infrastructure.
This position offers the chance to join NTT, a leader in Network Managed Services, while collaborating with a multinational company in the eyewear and eye care sector, enhancing your skills and expertise.
Key Responsibilities
As a Network Managed Service Engineer L3, you will partner with the customer's Network Operations team (L1) and the Network Projects team to ensure seamless network services across the entire IT network environment (data centers, cloud, retail locations, offices, branches).
You will take on a senior network engineer role within the NTT team, dedicated to providing high-quality operational services to the client's organization.
Your primary duties will include:
- Managing complex support tickets;
- Performing advanced troubleshooting tasks;
- Assisting in the analysis, assignment, and escalation of support requests;
- Investigating third-line support issues and determining the root causes of incidents and problems;
- Escalating issues to third-party vendors as needed;
- Documenting all relevant information for immediate resolution;
- Providing ongoing feedback to clients and stakeholders, updating all systems and portals as per service protocols;
- Collaborating with other teams to extend support;
- Executing and supporting infrastructure changes with clear risk identification and mitigation strategies;
- Monitoring client infrastructure;
- Identifying opportunities for operational efficiency;
- Generating trend analysis reports on support tickets.
Qualifications
- Educational background in IT;
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Network Operations environment with medium to high complexity;
- Cisco Certification (CCNA/CCNP). Additional certifications from major vendors (Check Point/Palo Alto, Fortinet, F5, VMware) are advantageous;
- Ability to communicate and collaborate across diverse cultures and social groups;
- Maintain a positive attitude in the workplace;
- Adaptability to changing circumstances;
- Experience working in virtual and hybrid teams;
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills;
- Customer-oriented mindset;
- Proficient in Italian and English (French is a plus);
- Willingness to travel internationally as required;
- Availability to participate in on-call scheduling.
