Your Role at NTT DATA
As a member of a skilled and collaborative NTT team, you will contribute to a vital and strategic customer journey in IT.Located in Milan, the NTT team will work closely with the customer's IT department both locally and globally, concentrating on Network and Network Security infrastructure.
You will engage in an IT environment primarily centered around technologies such as Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto, Check Point, Fortinet, F5, VMware Velocloud, and Riverbed.
By participating in this project, you will have the chance to join NTT, a leader in Network Managed Services, while collaborating with a multinational corporation recognized in the eyewear and eye care sector, continuously enhancing your skills and expertise.
Key Responsibilities
As a Network Managed Service Engineer L3, you will work alongside the customer's Network Operations team (L1) and the Network Projects team to ensure seamless network services across the entire IT network environment (data centers, cloud, retail locations, offices, branches).
Your primary duties will include:
- Managing complex support tickets;
- Conducting advanced troubleshooting tasks;
- Assisting in the analysis, assignment, and escalation of support requests;
- Investigating third-line support calls to identify root causes of incidents and issues;
- Escalating problems to third-party vendors when necessary;
- Gathering all pertinent information for prompt resolution;
- Providing ongoing feedback to customers and relevant parties while updating all systems and portals as per service protocols;
- Coordinating with other teams to extend support;
- Executing and supporting infrastructure changes with clear risk identification and mitigation strategies;
- Monitoring customer infrastructure;
- Identifying opportunities for operational optimization;
- Generating trend analysis reports on support tickets.
Qualifications
- Educational background in IT;
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Network Operations environment with medium to high complexity;
- Cisco Certification (CCNA/CCNP); additional certifications from major vendors (Check Point/Palo Alto, Fortinet, F5, VMware) are advantageous;
- Ability to communicate and collaborate across diverse cultures and social groups;
- Maintaining a positive outlook in the workplace;
- Adaptability to changing circumstances;
- Capability to work within virtual and hybrid teams;
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills;
- Customer-oriented mindset;
- Proficient in Italian and English (French is a plus);
- Willingness to travel abroad as required by the customer;
- Availability to participate in on-call scheduling.
