Job Summary

The Subcontract Administration Manager at Tecnimont is responsible for managing construction subcontracts awarded by the Home Office Subcontracting Department. This role operates at the project level, reporting to the Site Manager (STM), and at the company level, reporting to the Subcontract Administration Management Head of Department (SAMHoD).

Key Responsibilities
  • Subcontract Management: Gain a deep understanding of subcontracts and relevant annexes, including the subcontract price breakdown and project schedule.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare reports and documents related to specific subcontract issues or topics, including letters and correspondence with subcontractors.
  • Risk Management: Maintain strict control over subcontractors to prevent and mitigate company risks.
  • Compliance and Notifications: Record and notify subcontractors of their failure to comply with contractual obligations.
  • Claims and Disputes: Analyze requests for change and/or claims submitted by subcontractors, prepare formal replies, and resolve disputes.
  • Subcontractor Instructio: Instruct subcontractors on administration procedures, including accounting, evaluation of extra works, and payment certificates.
  • Accounting and Payment: Review and approve subcontractor's interim and final progress payment certificates, issue authorizations for invoicing, and ensure receipt of drawings and accounting records.
  • Subcontract Management: Ensure that extra works, new unit prices, claims, back-charges, liquidated damages, and close-out of subcontracts are managed in accordance with company procedures.
Person Specification
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience: At least 6-7 years of experience as a Subcontract Administration Manager, with both home office and abroad experience suitable for the ideal candidate.
  • Language: Fluent English speaker, with the knowledge of the language to be tested over the interview.
  • Skills: Good communication and management skills, high level of organizational ability, team worker, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and creative/innovative thought processing skills.
