We are looking for an experienced Executive Chef motivated to join the opening team of the Hyatt Regency Rome Termini. The role will report to the F&B Director.
Conveniently located adjacent to Rome Termini Station and a short distance from the Colosseum, the 238-room Hyatt Regency Rome Termini is a newly renovated contemporary 5 star hotel offering premium business services and one of Italy’s most dazzling leisure rooftop experiences.
The hotel is also featuring a SPA, 5 food & beverages outlets and more than 1000 sqm events venues.
**Main duties and responsibilities**:
As Executive Chef, you will be responsible for designing and implementing seasonal menus, managing and training kitchen staff, organizing financial budgets, and overseeing all kitchen operations to ensure the highest standards of food quality and safety.
In detail:
- Lead and manage all kitchen functions, including food purchasing, preparation, maintaining quality standards, sanitation, and cleanliness.
- Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate food preparation, ensuring seamless service across all dining outlets. Oversee the hiring, training, and management of kitchen and stewarding staff, ensuring a cohesive and productive team.
- Experiment with new dishes and flavours to enhance the menu and provide guests with unique culinary experiences.
- Establish the day's priorities and assign production and preparation tasks for staff to execute.
- Prepare and manage budgets for food costs and kitchen operations, analysing financial performance and implementing cost-saving measures.
- Collaborate with hotel departments to ensure a seamless guest experience and participate in community and hotel events.
- Help the F&B Director with event planning
**Skills and requirements**:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef within Hotels & Resorts with international exposure.
- Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of modern cooking techniques, with understanding of Asian Cuisine.
- Effective communicator able to talk with the guests to articulate the culinary vision, explain menu options and receive feedback with grace, contributes to a positive culinary experience.
- Supervise Kitchen team in a large lifestyle hotel or resort, with multiple major food and beverage outlets and banquets facilities to cater up to 500 people.
- Familiar with HACCP, able to instruct, implement and supervise.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to quickly adapt to challenges and manage complex or dynamic situations.
- Professional knowledge of Italian and English languages.
