We are seeking a seasoned Maintenance Manager to take charge of our maintenance operations agreement, ensuring excellence in a key facility.
This role presents a remarkable opportunity to not only enhance the performance of a facility but also to influence the maintenance strategies across the entire operation. Join a progressive initiative that prioritizes innovation and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Maintenance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in Valmet's Maintenance Team and report directly to the General Maintenance Manager (GMM).
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Assisting the GMM in establishing safe practices for maintenance and site operations, adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies. Collaborating with the GMM to formulate a comprehensive maintenance strategy, including budget development and financial oversight. Working alongside the customer’s management and relevant teams to devise an action plan and execute necessary measures to achieve or exceed performance targets. Overseeing daily maintenance tasks and shutdown operations, providing essential guidance and support to the team during routine and critical situations. Facilitating troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and effective problem resolution. Aiding planners in scheduling and adjusting preventive maintenance activities. Supporting the team during outages, ensuring effective cost management and completion of work orders. Addressing personnel matters as they arise. Enhancing team capabilities and efficiency through mentorship and training.Qualifications:
A bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant discipline. Over 5 years of experience in maintenance operations within the pulp, paper, or tissue sectors. Proficiency in both mechanical and automation systems. Experience in managing change is advantageous. Strong problem-solving skills. Expertise in team training and development. Financial acumen, networking, and communication abilities. Familiarity with office systems and IT tools. Understanding of planning and scheduling fundamentals. Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.What We Provide:
