About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join our local People Team in Milan. As an HR Advisor, you will play a critical role in supporting the employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to performance management and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer the entire employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and development.
  • Prepare employment offer letters, contracts, and other HR-related documents.
  • Oversee the correct flow of information within Workday, our HR system, related to employee data, contracts, and compensation changes.
  • Monitor and manage overtime and absence, ensuring compliance with the National Labor Contract.
  • Collaborate with our CoEs in the UK Headquarters, including the payroll team, central people operations team, and comp&ben team.
  • Provide support to employees through ServiceNow, addressing questions and needs in the admin and payroll areas.
  • Process reports on employee headcount and administration.
  • Support the development of the operating model for Hop People Operations in Italy.
  • Partner with site management to identify capability gaps and implement solutions.
  • Proactively identify engagement gaps and implement solutions to address.
  • Partner with site management on workforce planning, ensuring our recruitment team is aware of demand and all sites are staffed appropriately.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in People administration and Operations areas.
  • Knowledge of Italian Labor law and CCNL Commercio.
  • Knowledge of Workday HRIS and ServiceNow is a significant plus.
  • Precise, punctual, and flexible with a spirit of adaptation in a dynamic reality.
  • Ability to work in a team and relate to any level of the company.
  • Fluent in English, as you'll also deal with the central People team based in London.
  • Significant experience in start-ups, retail/distribution, or manufacturing environment.
  • Takes initiative, acts with confidence, and works under their own direction.
  • Friendly and approachable communication style.
