We are seeking an experienced Senior Partnerships Development professional to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our Europe Partnership Development team, you will play a crucial role in developing and leading partnerships with academic players to secure Owkin's access to multimodal datasets.

With partnerships already established in Europe and the US with prestigious medical and research centers, you will be responsible for developing and securing data access & sample access within your sub-region (Spain, Italy, Portugal). You will work closely with operations, scientific, legal, and IT teams to support Owkin's data access and samples access expansion strategy locally.

Your primary objectives will include:

  • Leveraging your network in oncology and other therapeutic areas to develop Owkin's network expansion and strengthen relationships with KOLs.
  • Identifying and connecting with academic researchers and institutes to explore potential data access and samples access opportunities and collaborations.
  • Leading day-to-day engagement with these academic partners to develop long-term collaborations.
  • Maintaining academic partner account relationships and processes.
  • Leading the negotiation of business terms to secure partnerships in a timely manner, in collaboration with our legal teams.
  • Representing Owkin at local and international conferences.

This role offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience, plus flexible work organization, access to remote work, and a friendly and informal working environment.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in life sciences (MD, PharmD, or Master/PhD in biology, bioinformatics, biological engineering, or similar) OR a degree from a business school with experience in biomedical research, pharmaceutical companies, TTO, etc.
  • A good level of experience developing business relationships in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or biomedical/healthtech/Medtech organizations or TTO.
  • A good level of experience negotiating contracts with healthcare accounts like hospitals and/or research centers.
  • An understanding of working with academic biomedical research institutions or experience in hospital/academic innovation or technology transfer offices.
  • The ability to work and interact with multiple stakeholders from different backgrounds both internally and externally.
  • An ability to work in an international context.
