About the Role:
Adyen is seeking an experienced Sales Team Lead to join our Italian-based team and contribute to our EMEA Sales leadership team. As a critical member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the Sales strategy for Italy, leading and developing a team of Sales Managers, and driving commercial success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Building and scaling the Sales organization in Italy, owning the end-to-end commercial success of your department
- Creating and driving the vision and strategy for growing the Italian sales team, and scaling day-to-day operations
- Engaging with strategic opportunities, leading executive relationships, and helping the team navigate long sales cycles with complex fintech solutions to win new customers
- Adopting and influencing the company's sales methodology/process and driving best practices on selling and forecasting
- Developing best practices that enable the organization to more rapidly scale to deliver on revenue targets and support KPIs for growth
- Partnering cross-functionally across different teams (e.g. Marketing, Product, Partnerships, Account Management, SDR, regionally and globally)
Requirements:
- 10+ years of extensive sales experience, specializing in serving multinational enterprise customers
- Inspirational leadership with 5+ years in Italy, with demonstrated experience leading both leaders and individual contributors
- Extensive knowledge on the Payments, FinTech, and/or enterprise SAAS industries in Italy
- Strong experience with sales forecasting and metrics
- Resilience and ability to challenge and influence while remaining focused on growing a sustainable business
- Ability to structure and prioritize in a high-volume, fast-paced environment and drive a process to completion
- Team player with a willingness to take ownership
