Position Overview

Kyndryl's collaborative efforts have broadened our partnerships, particularly with AWS, to assist our mutual clients in expediting their mainframe modernization journeys. With these innovative services and our existing alliances with Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud, we facilitate and empower mainframe transformation initiatives across all three major cloud providers.

As part of our strategic evolution, Kyndryl Italy's Core Enterprise and zCloud Practice is in search of a leader.

In this pivotal role, you will be an integral and collaborative member of both the Country leadership team and the Global senior leadership team, responsible for developing, accelerating, and steering Kyndryl Italy's Core Enterprise and zCloud practice. Kyndryl stands as the preeminent market leader in Mainframe modernization, offering Mainframe managed services globally, supported by the largest mainframe and i-series infrastructure management team worldwide.

You will embody a customer-focused change leader, possessing the mindset and experience necessary for 'baking and building': formulating and executing go-to-market strategies, and establishing and nurturing a consulting organization. As a business leader, you will engage in meaningful business discussions, accountable for enhancing market presence, strategy, and a compelling service portfolio. You will oversee significant areas and transformation initiatives within Kyndryl, reinforcing our status as the undisputed market leader.

This role demands a strong external presence, requiring you to lead from the forefront with clients and field teams. You will collaborate closely with our Country Leadership, account teams, delivery teams, and cross-practice teams. Your responsibilities will include achieving the practice's Country business and financial objectives, which encompass long-term strategic planning, leading go-to-market initiatives, and driving growth. As the external thought leader for the practice, you will engage with our clients, media, press, and analysts, executing the practice's policies, allocating resources, and making strategic decisions to fulfill the organization's vision.

As the Leader, you will cultivate robust relationships with C-suite clients, gaining valuable industry insights and perspectives on desired solution-oriented outcomes. Kyndryl provides you with the opportunity to enhance your existing knowledge and account management skills while expanding your expertise in mainframe operations, technology, and modernization.

Key Responsibilities

- Understand the complexities of systems, cloud environments, or the establishment of a consulting organization.

- Possess a comprehensive understanding of estate modernization and a willingness to learn about mainframe intricacies.

- Be a strong customer-facing individual with an entrepreneurial mindset.

- Act as a thought leader in the market, potentially with experience in sales or consulting within Financial Services.

- Drive sales and growth by leveraging Kyndryl's market-leading reputation to attract new clients and expand existing relationships.

- Collaborate proactively with each account to assist them in:

- Developing strategic roadmaps for mainframe initiatives.

- Initiating and facilitating modernization workshops.

- Winning and growing new client accounts.

- Rapidly assemble and lead a team of experts (both direct and virtual, technical and sales) to:

- Own various Core Enterprise and zCloud methodologies, including mainframe modernization.

- Execute large-scale mainframe modernization projects.

- Manage T&T for new logo mainframe clients.

- Oversee Kyndryl Italy's key partner relationships for the mainframe platform, including:

- Technology partners such as IBM, BMC, CA, etc.

- Services partners like TMaxSoft, Microfocus, EY, etc.

- Hyperscalers (AWS, Microsoft, and Google).

- Manage the zCloud offering in Italy, which includes:

- Rate setting.

- Cost reduction initiatives.

- Selling to new clients.
