Technical Sales Manager

Nordson EFD is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Area Sales Manager to join our team in Italy, Segrate. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for generating sustainable, predictable revenue growth using our product portfolio to serve customer needs and create new opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Develop detailed territory maps and review them quarterly with the Regional Manager.
- Assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products and services, respond to complex customer application inquiries.
- Work closely with customers to complete application questionnaires and submit them to the System Manager for review and approval.
- Negotiate prices and delivery times within limits of authority and conclude sales orders to meet revenue targets.
- Maintain customer relationships throughout the life of the project(s) to ensure timely delivery, on budget and on specification.
- Proven track record of solution-based selling capabilities, from developing customer needs to project follow-up and delivery.
- Proper education enabling to perform the job completely and thoroughly (Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Automotive, Material Science or Engineering, General Technical Education, Sales, Marketing or equivalent).
- Minimum of 5 years recent field sales experience in a business-to-business, preferably capital sales equipment with a proven track record of owning a large customer list (at least 100 customers) and developing and growing those accounts and those accounts sales.
- Excellent verbal communication and negotiation skills.
- Fluent Italian and English, both written and spoken.
- Good analytical skills, able to deal with technical queries and applications.
- Strategic thinking and skills to set and perform long-term actions.
