About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Supervisor to join our team at Marriott International. As a key member of our pre-opening team, you will be responsible for managing the maintenance team, ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Property Operations
    • Supervise the distribution of repair work orders and ensure timely completion.
    • Assist in planning, scheduling, and evaluating preventative maintenance programs.
    • Establish and maintain open relationships with employees and monitor their performance.
    • Supervise Engineering and related areas in the absence of the Director of Engineering.
  • Maintenance and Repair
    • Inspect and evaluate the physical condition of facilities to determine the type of work required.
    • Maintain accurate logs and records as required.
    • Operate generators and fire pumps as necessary.
    • Provide emergency response services 24/7.
  • Customer Service
    • Empower employees to provide excellent customer service.
    • Emphasize guest satisfaction during all departmental meetings and focus on continuous improvement.
    • Sets a positive example for guest relations.
  • Human Resources
    • Help and train employees in safety procedures.
    • Support a departmental orientation program for employees to receive the appropriate new hire training.
    • Communicate performance expectations in accordance with job descriptions for each position.
    • Ensure disciplinary procedures and documentation are completed according to Standard and Local Operating Procedures (SOPs and LSOPs).
Requirements
  • Experience
    • At least intermediate knowledge of Italian and ideally English.
    • Previous experience in similar roles is an advantage.

    • Positive outlook and dependability.
  • Education
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
