Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Trade Lane Director to join our team at JAS Worldwide. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving volume growth and developing strategies to optimize cargo and carrier mix.

Key Responsibilities
  • Volume Growth and Strategy
    • Develop and implement plans to achieve targeted volume growth in assigned trade lanes.
    • Collaborate with Sales and Product teams to ensure aligned growth strategies.
  • Cargo and Carrier Optimization
    • Develop and execute strategies to optimize cargo and carrier mix to improve profitability.
    • Work closely with procurement and pricing specialists to ensure up-to-date and confirmed rates.
  • Market Intelligence and Analysis
    • Stay up-to-date on industry changes, market situations, and customer requirements.
    • Provide market intelligence and analysis to support business decisions.
  • Customer Engagement and Support
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for commercial questions from sales, branches, and operations.
    • Provide support to sales teams through marketing campaigns, pricing, routing solutions, and internal/external presentations.
  • Reporting and Communication
    • Prepare and present quarterly action plans and progress reports to senior management.
    • Provide regular updates on sales activity and market trends.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field or combination of education and experience.
    • Minimum 5 years of successful international freight forwarding sales/operations experience.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite and Wintouch.
    • Detail-oriented, able to multitask, and meet deadlines.
    • Self-motivated, able to work in a team and independently.
    • Strong negotiating skills.
    • Able to travel extensively domestically and internationally.
Working Environment

This role will be performed in a climate-controlled internal office environment, with travel required to support business needs.
