Role Mission

The primary objective of this role is to oversee the Group FP&A function, focusing on the analysis and management of Group Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). This position is crucial in supporting executive decision-making regarding resource allocation while ensuring comprehensive financial analysis and business insight, alongside a seamless connection between Group FP&A and GBS Reporting & Analytics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Group FP&A team to govern enterprise performance management and conduct reviews of Group KPIs, utilizing targeted analyses to enhance resource allocation across the Group.
  • Facilitate the control and analysis of planning processes, including Monthly Business Reviews (MBR), Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR), Budgeting, and Strategic Planning, by leveraging information from Business Units to improve understanding of local financial and business trends, while tracking risks and opportunities for senior management.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of market dynamics, including trends in key categories and brands, translating this knowledge into actionable insights that inform planning and drive feedback to Budgeting, Strategic Planning, and Quarterly closures.
  • Assist Group FP&A in establishing advanced analytics within integrated planning, incorporating external data to derive meaningful insights from data analytics, and contributing to the development of the Group Data Lake to ensure continuous data ingestion for Advanced Analytics Proof of Concept.
  • Support the Group FP&A in creating a new collaborative framework with GBS DR&A.
  • Coordinate the review of Short-Term Incentive (STI) estimates to provide senior management with current visibility and ensure alignment with STI Group and Regional objectives.

Key Relationships

Internal: Group FP&A team, Finance executive leadership, GBS DR&A team, Regional and Local Finance teams.

External: Consultants involved in relevant projects.

Experience & Education

  • Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects with a proven track record of delivering outstanding results within deadlines.
  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical discipline such as Engineering, Mathematics, or Computer Science.
  • Proficiency in Italian; fluency in English is essential, and knowledge of an additional language is advantageous.

Technical Skills

  • Strong aptitude for quantitative analysis and structured problem-solving.
  • Capability to make informed recommendations based on financial data analysis.
  • Experience in planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial control (commercial finance experience is a plus).
  • Background in data management and/or analytics.
  • Highly analytical and detail-oriented with advanced skills in financial modeling and reporting.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
  • Proficient in Accounting principles.
