Job Title – Sales Account Manager

Location – Milan, Italy

Job Model – Hybrid

We are seeking a highly-engaged and open-minded Sales Account Manager to help us achieve our ambitious revenue and profitability targets. As part of a high-performance team, you will play an active role in utilizing top-line synergies of the new DSM-Firmenich organization.

Your Key Responsibilities


• Develop successful business relationships with new and existing clients, establishing DSM-Firmenich as a key partner to obtain briefs for profitable business.


• Negotiate with clients favorable commercial terms, including payment terms, prices for new and existing business.


• Get clear and complete briefings from clients and translate their needs into Firmenich projects.


• Anticipate clients' needs and lead proactive projects to generate new business opportunities.


• Identify gaps and needs in clients' portfolios and set up proactive plans to increase and defend market share.


• Identify and document business potentials and competitive landscapes.


• Partner internally with cross-functional teams (Fragrance Development, Marketing, Innovation, etc.) to create holistic value propositions for clients.


• Define account objectives, develop commercial strategies in collaboration with the Commercial Director through account plans to drive profitable sales growth; monitor and coordinate the execution of the account plan, report based on defined performance indicators, and take corrective actions to achieve results.


• Build account sales budgets annually and review regularly to project accurate sales budget landing, monitor sales and profitability monthly versus given objectives.


• Manage product life cycles, demand planning, customer care, and supply chain efficiency to ensure high levels of service to clients and accuracy and reliability internally.

You Bring


• A university degree in Economics, Marketing & Sales or related fields.


• 5-7+ years' experience in a similar role and a good network in Consumer and Fragrance Markets.


• Passion for sales, proven negotiator, ability to develop successfully client relationships, and prepare and deliver presentations to clients.


• The ability to identify opportunities to grow the business by meeting or exceeding sales budgets/targets.


• The ability to communicate professionally with clients (existing and potential) and with fellow employees in Italian and English languages.
