About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the shipping industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver Results: Identify strong prospects and close successful deals with them.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with our potential future strategic customers.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Relay market needs and requirements back to internal Amazon teams including Product Management and Technical.
  • Dive Deep: Measure performance, articulate root-cause analysis, and link to specific improvement areas.
  • Invent and Simplify: Analyze current purchasing processes and evaluate opportunities for solutions to improve end user experiences, reduce costs, and accelerate organizational performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Extensive experience in business development, sales, and account management, ideally in the B2C express parcel delivery industry
  • Demonstrated ability in managing commercial relationships with Enterprise level companies
  • Demonstrated ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
  • Strong ownership, bias for action
  • Ability to Dive Deep and deal with large sets of data
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively advise senior leadership
  • Ability to prioritize and demonstrate relentless discipline in achieving goals

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA
  • Experience in the B2C parcel delivery industry
  • Expert use of MS Office Suite, CRMs (e.g. ), sales and marketing automation tools, eLearning tools
