Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Business Development Manager to join our Business Development team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for securing and retaining business through professional, consultative, proactive sales activities directed at decision-makers and decision influencers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Position us as a primary or preferred provider by qualifying deals and developing proposals.
  • Serve as the primary contact/support contact until work is sold, then coordinate and ensure a successful implementation.
  • Act as a liaison between sponsor and company on BD activities and requirements.
  • Gather data on marketing trends and competitive products/services and pricing.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in science or business, or equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job.
  • 5+ years' industry sales experience, ideally within life sciences/pharma/CRO.
  • Sales experience and track record of proactively selling with urgency and persistence.
  • The ability to identify and develop sales leads, professionally present capabilities, manage the sales process through to close and handle aspects of contract negotiations.
  • Scientific and/or sales and marketing background.

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
