As a Business Development Manager, your primary responsibility will be to drive sales initiatives for new suppliers across the EMEA region. You will oversee and coordinate tactical strategies across various geographies to meet established sales and profitability objectives. Additionally, you will manage a portfolio of significant accounts, focusing on positioning materials, fostering relationships with engineers, and specifying products from our Nylon suppliers' offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead efforts to enhance sales with OEMs and molders in Europe, collaborating closely with sales personnel, key account managers, suppliers, and the application development team, with an initial emphasis on Italy.
  • Identify and develop new value propositions in critical strategic market segments while evaluating new growth opportunities within the EMEA region.
  • Promote and position materials to customers and prospects, including conducting training sessions and spearheading project acquisitions.
  • Build and maintain robust relationships with existing customers while establishing connections with new key accounts and OEMs.
  • Translate technology and growth opportunities into actionable strategies for new markets and clients.
  • Drive the application of push products from both existing and new product portfolios.
  • Collect market intelligence regarding competitors, emerging technologies, market trends, and intellectual property opportunities.
  • Provide strategic insights to inform future product development initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree; an MBA is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of the Engineering Thermoplastics market is essential, with familiarity in the Automotive or Electrical & Electronics sectors being a plus.
  • Demonstrated self-motivation, enthusiasm, proactivity, and effective time management skills.
  • A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Strong commercial acumen and analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills across various organizational levels.
  • Proficient in prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to define and implement effective strategies clearly.
  • Skilled in negotiation and relationship building.
  • Deep understanding of target markets and the ability to cultivate relationships with decision-makers.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Fluency in English and Italian, both written and spoken.
