About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Specialist to join our team at SYNNEX. As a Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities by planning outbound calls to customers and having general conversations around solution/product areas. You will also be responsible for managing customer backorders, providing product information, pricing, special offers, and promotions, and ensuring that SYNNEX maintains service level agreements with customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively develop relationships with key internal and external contacts.
  • Engage in active inside selling by using various sources to gain information on customers and utilize this to maximize call potential and outcomes.
  • Manage customer backorders along with specialist knowledge and engage in intelligent project fishing.
  • Manage project end-to-end or hand over to pre-sales for technical requirements.
  • Provide, sell, and negotiate product information, pricing, special offers, and promotions.
  • Ensure SYNNEX maintains service level agreements with customers.
  • Attainment of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as customer engagement.
  • Develop partner relationships (incl. account planning, cross-selling, etc.).
  • Identify project opportunities and engage with BDMs if specific product/vendor knowledge is required.
  • Drive sales of specific products/vendors if specific knowledge is required.
  • Provide accurate and timely quotations (SMB Managed (AS), SP/E-Var/SI segment, Specialists (IBM), entire AS BUs).
  • Generate and own a pipeline of deals in SYNNEX's CRM system, which is regularly reviewed and updated, and ensure active closure of opportunities.
  • Manage customer backorder expectations and reporting.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of experience.
  • Numerate with good attention to detail.
  • Excellent telephone manner and effective communication skills.
  • Priority management and planning skills.
  • Strive to achieve set targets.
  • Understands Sales Process.
  • Ideal candidates will have previous experience of IT systems for quotation, order entry, CRM.
  • IT industry knowledge would be desirable but not essential.
