Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Business Development Manager to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a key member of our Clinical Supply Chain division, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of high-potential clients and developing strategic relationships with our commercial and clinical study teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of experts in responding to client requests, including RFQs and RFIs, and work closely with the commercial team to build positive relationships and drive customer satisfaction.
  • Supervise and analyze opportunities, wins, and losses, and identify solutions and actions to address client loss scenarios.
  • Champion sourcing solutions and strategies in collaboration with the comparator sourcing team and coordinate responses to clients.
  • Foster clear communication across multiple sites and regions to deliver full value to our customers.
  • Support sourcing and logistics for client projects and mentor and develop a team of customer-facing experts.
  • Manage program managers' accountability and contribute to the recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of employees.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a science field or related field with 10+ years of experience in lieu of the degree.
  • 10+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or equivalent.
  • Strong organizational skills and proficiency in MS Office and Adobe products.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and exercise good judgment.
  • Familiarity with the commercial supply chain of pharmaceuticals and experience in pharmaceutical R&D and clinical supplies are advantages.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High-level business sense in administration and business strategies.
  • In-depth knowledge of the global comparator business.
