About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Manager for the Account Management Team in Milan for our Advertising business. As a key leader, you will lead a team of one manager and around 11 Account Managers working to develop our Hardlines advertisers. You will be responsible for achieving revenue targets and other organizational goals.

The ideal candidate will have strong business acumen, sales, and people management skills who thrives in ambiguous situations and enjoys challenging revenue targets. They will possess strong analytical skills and be a self-starter, able to find solutions without guidance.

You will partner closely across multiple teams including Account Executives, Retail, Product, and Creative, as well as externally, leading and coaching the team to be strategic consultants for their clients and supporting them in complex client negotiations with clients and agencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and work with the team to achieve revenue targets
  • Lead and work with the team to achieve other organization's goals
  • Dive deep into client needs, gather feedback, identify, and drive solutions to improve their advertising experience with Amazon Advertising
  • Develop the team's sales skills, business acumen, and ability to generate innovative and challenging insights
  • Engage with clients supporting your team during negotiations
  • Engage with Amazon Advertising's leadership team and product/platform leadership to represent business results and advocate for customer needs;
  • Hire and develop a world-class team
  • Conduct resource management, capacity planning, and account allocation

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant working experience
  • 6+ years of experience in digital advertising or client-facing roles, with 2+ years experience in people management
  • Experience analyzing data and best practices to assess performance drivers
  • High-level analytical abilities
  • Ability to establish effective cross-team and cross-functional partnerships to drive cross-team initiatives
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Strong negotiating skills and ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
  • An ability to deal with ambiguity. Can deliver results and drive change in loosely defined situations.
  • Demonstrated high attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills as demonstrated by experience
  • Proven record of attracting, retaining, and growing talents
  • Advanced level of English and Italian

Estimated Salary: €80,000 - €120,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
