About the Role
In this role as Inside Sales Account Manager at Illumina, you will have ownership of inside sales across a part of the region and responsibility for implementing a strategy to develop existing accounts and source new ones. You will work together with Field Sales and your Inside Sales Manager to maximize revenue on your territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the customer sales process for specific territories and accounts via phone and email, with potential for field visits to advance opportunities.
- Meet sales targets and maintain accurate forecasting and up-to-date contact and opportunity information in the CRM database.
- Engage with existing customers and qualified sales leads, guiding them to the best Illumina products for their needs and coordinating with internal resources to address customer questions or objections.
- Work with the Lead Generation Specialist team on prospecting activities to find new accounts and develop new opportunities.
- Collaborate with the wider sales team, including TAMs, ISAMs, Sales Specialists, and Service Contracts team.
- Establish and maintain strong, positive, productive relationships with customer accounts.
- Track and report on all activities to managers.
Expected Qualifications
- Fluency in English and Italian required.
- Knowledge of genetic analysis techniques (PCR / NGS / Sanger etc).
- Able to quickly grasp and master highly technical concepts and articulate them well to others.
- Outstanding listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Team goal-oriented with a focus on achieving team sales performance metrics.
- Detail-oriented and able to focus in a fast-paced environment.
