Applied Materials is a prominent American multinational corporation headquartered in Silicon Valley, California, specializing in cutting-edge industrial machinery, services, and software utilized in semiconductor manufacturing, including microchips, flat displays, and solar cells for photovoltaics.

We are seeking a Field Service Engineer to provide exceptional support to our clients and internal teams, ensuring optimal performance of Applied Materials' equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate with minimal supervision while adhering to established company protocols.
  • Oversee equipment performance and manage spare parts inventory.
  • Execute and ensure timely preventative and corrective maintenance.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues with equipment.
  • Diagnose and rectify hardware problems by leveraging software and process data.
  • Conduct upgrades and retrofits on existing equipment.
  • Ensure adherence to maintenance procedures and checklists for both corrective and preventive tasks.
  • Implement appropriate work methodologies and procedures in line with company and customer quality standards.
  • Proactively address equipment issues and escalations.
  • Engage and communicate effectively with company stakeholders.
  • Participate in both internal and client meetings.
  • Support management in the operational aspects of site service business.
  • Assist field management in setting and achieving objectives for the assigned account.
  • Keep management informed regarding customer perceptions of system performance.
  • Take initiative to prevent and resolve customer-related issues.
  • May lead projects aimed at reducing costs or enhancing equipment uptime.
  • Willingness to work shifts as required by assignments.
  • Flexibility for travel is necessary.

Computer Skills:

  • Essential skills include proficiency in Outlook and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Additional skills in advanced software, industrial automation, software analysis, coding, server administration, and computer analysis are advantageous.

Education: Technical Diploma or University Degree.
