Applied Materials is a prominent American multinational corporation headquartered in Silicon Valley, California, specializing in cutting-edge industrial machinery, services, and software for semiconductor production, including microchips, flat displays, and solar cells.

We are currently seeking a Field Service Engineer to enhance our operational support, ensuring optimal performance of our equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate with minimal supervision, adhering to established company protocols.
  • Oversee equipment performance and manage spare parts inventory.
  • Execute and ensure timely preventative and corrective maintenance.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues with equipment.
  • Diagnose and rectify hardware problems utilizing software and process data as necessary.
  • Conduct upgrades and retrofits on existing equipment.
  • Ensure adherence to maintenance procedures and checklists for both corrective and preventive tasks.
  • Implement correct methodologies and procedures in line with company and customer quality standards.
  • Proactively address equipment issues and escalations.
  • Engage and communicate effectively with company stakeholders.
  • Participate in both internal and customer-focused meetings.
  • Support management in the operation of site service business within assigned scope.
  • Assist in setting and achieving objectives for the assigned account.
  • Keep management informed about customer perceptions of system performance.
  • Take initiative to preemptively resolve customer issues.
  • May lead projects aimed at reducing costs or enhancing uptime.
  • Willingness to work shifts as required by assignments.
  • Flexibility for travel is essential.

Computer Skills:

  • Basic proficiency in Outlook and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Advanced skills in software, industrial automation, and problem-solving through software analysis are advantageous.

Education: Technical Diploma or University Degree.
